Just Gotta Bailar

The three of us had the pleasure of attending our very first Quincenera on Saturday night... if you're not familiar, a Quincenera is a Latin American party in which friends and family celebrate the "coming of age" of the 15 year old guest of honor. In this case, the guest of honor was actually turning 18, but hadn't yet celebrated her "coming of age" as her family is military and was out of the country when she turned 15. So, her party was postponed until her 18th birthday and combined with her high school graduation celebration, and celebrate we did - especially the littlest guests in attendance. There's not much cuter than a couple of giddy toddlers shaking their tiny booties on the dance floor. And Wyatt was the first one out there cutting a rug - he's inherited a fine dancing gene (clearly not from his mother). Daddy recorded some of the moves on his cell phone, and it's just about all you can do not to get up and dance with him when you watch :)

A New Adventure

So, I've been a blog reading junkie for a while now, never writing my own but finding new ones all the time to follow. But I recently decided that writing this blog would allow me to share the day to day goings on here in Oklahoma with the friends and family we so dearly miss in Texas. And it will serve as a diary of sorts for me so that I will never forget these precious memories that are being made here daily. If you are family, a friend, or just happened across this blog by chance, welcome, and I hope you enjoy reading about our life as much as we enjoy living it.
